How to Afford a Professional
How can you afford the services of a professional photographer, videographer, or sound engineer? The key is to think ahead. You never know when you'll need to hire a professional, so what you have to do is put away a few thousand dollars ahead of time, in preparation for the big events in your life.
You never know when you'll suddenly need a few dollars, but won't want to dip into your savings account to get it. Therefore, instead of only making 3 primary places to store money (personal, savings, and living), I make a fourth: backup.
This fourth account is also added to every once in a while. Over time, it slowly adds up and you'll eventually be able to afford a $5,000 wedding photographer and it will feel like you're not hurting yourself by pulling all that money out of your savings account.
Remember that unless you are a professional photographer or videographer, you will definitely need to hire one at some point in your life. Start collecting the money for it now.
